Rear Door Cargo Platforms for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans

Our rear door cargo platforms provide heavy-duty, modular cargo storage for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans while maintaining a clean, symmetrical factory appearance. Designed, engineered, and fabricated entirely in-house, these platforms are built to handle real-world loads and demanding use.

Off Grid Fabrications pioneered a fully symmetrical rear door cargo platform with mirrored mounting positions for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The result is a clean, balanced design that allows accessories to be mounted consistently on either door—a layout that others have since followed.

Each Sprinter rear door cargo platform features a precision-cut grid of 1/2" holes and slots, allowing flexible mounting of gear, accessories, and cargo. The hole pattern is compatible with standard RotopaX mounts, and optional 3/8"-16 Pemsert nuts can be installed in the 1/2" holes for expanded mounting options.

Constructed from 2" OD aluminum tubing and a 3/16" aluminum platform, the system is reinforced with four welded 3/16" cross braces for exceptional stiffness and durability. Additional reinforcement is concentrated in the bike mounting zone, ensuring maximum rigidity where load stress is highest. This structural design makes our rear door cargo carriers among the largest and stiffest Sprinter cargo platforms available.

Optional cargo mounting arms allow the attachment of accessories such as 1Up USA bike racks and other rear-mounted gear. While we recommend a maximum load rating of 200lb.

Integrated rubber shock absorbers at the third-position door mounts help reduce vibration, minimize noise, and protect the rear doors under load.
